Track opens season at Tenke Classic in GuelphPublished by
The 2018-19 Track & Field season unofficially kicked off on Friday for the Waterloo Warriors, with many athletes eyeing a return to U SPORTS in 2019. This was most prominent for reigning Male Athlete of the Year, Joerg Ahne, who kicked off his Long Jump Gold Medal defense in style. Ahne went on to win the battle in the sand pit with a jump of 7.08m, leaving him only a mere five centimeters away from auto-qualifying for U SPORTS in March.
